Texas junior wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after three seasons with the Longhorns. He announced the news via his Instagram page on Monday.
On3’s InsideTexas.com previously reported that Moore wasn’t expected to return to the Forty Acres for the 2026 season, choosing to either forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the NFL Draft or hit the portal.

The 6-foot-0, 192-pounder will have one season left to play after appearing in 36 games for the Longhorns over his first three seasons. He played almost exclusively on special teams as a true freshman, but put together back-to-back strong seasons in 2024 and 2025.
Across those two seasons, Moore hauled in 77 passes totaling 988 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Longhorns’ passing offense took a step back in 2025, but Moore still finished second on the team in receptions behind Ryan Wingo.
A native of Anaheim (Calif.), Moore will enter the portal next month as one of the top available wide receivers in the country. As a high school prospect, he was tabbed as the nation’s No. 110 overall recruit and No. 21 wideout, according to the Rivals Industry Rankingan equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services.
