EMI/Simon Cowell’s new boyband December 10 share NSYNC cover, socials surge after Netflix debut | Talent

Last week, Netflix released the global series Simon Cowell: The Next Act – a brand new show that captures the X-Factor/American Idol star’s effort to form the world’s next big boyband from thousands of hopefuls.

Well, now the group – christened December 10 and newly signed to EMI/Universal – have made another big move with the release of a live acoustic performance of NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye, recorded at London’s Metropolis Studios. It marks the first complete piece of performance footage from the group. You can watch it below.

December 10 – consisting of members Cruz (19), Danny (17), Hendrick (19), John (17), Josh (17), Nicolas (16) and Sean (19) – was put together with help from a host of elite music industry talent.

Among those captured in the show helping Cowell are Robert “Raab” Stevenson (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna); Camomile (Little Mix, Dua Lipa, Raye), Poo Bear (Justin Bieber, Usher, Ed Sheeran), Rami Yacoub (Britney Spears, One Direction), Julian Bunetta (One Direction, Teddy Swims, Sabrina Carpenter) and Savan Kotecha (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd).

Since launching, the band’s official TikTok quadrupled to 211k followers, while their Instagram has also jumped to 77k followers.

Speaking about their launch, Cowell said: “I’m not sure if this band found me or if it was the other way around however either way I am so happy the boys have a chance to do what they love. Seven genuine, talented, humble boys who walked in to meet me. I believe in them and I really like them. I wish them all true happiness doing something they love.”

Following the group’s reveal on Netflix, all eyes will now turn to what the group will do from here. Notably, the group were not only formed with help from gifted songwriters and producers but are now being steered by some very familiar names in the music business.

December 10 are managed by a very familiar face to Music Week readers: ex-4th Floor Creative president – and former winner of the Businesswoman Of The Year at the Music Week Women In Music Awards – Cassandra Gracey.

On the label side, meanwhile, they have Island/EMI president Louis Bloom – Island EMI were, notably, the double winners of the A&R and Record Company honour at the Music Week Awards 2025.

Bloom added: “It’s a huge joy and privilege working once again with Simon. We go way back and it’s fair to say that the landscape has changed in many ways since then. What hasn’t changed is the thrill when a unique act with undeniable chemistry comes along. The guys have great voices, incredible energy and are an absolute pleasure to work with and I’m positive that their talent, charisma and star quality will win them masses of fans.”
