Stranger Thingsstar Millie Bobby Brown sat down with Letterboxd to share her top four favorite moviesand she surprisingly included one of Star Wars’more controversial films.
In an interview alongside Stranger Things co-star Noah SchnappBrown was asked to share her four favorite movies, and she came prepared. She first named Disney’s Upsharing that every time she watches the movie, she wants to cry.
Brown then named Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson‘s heartbreaking divorce movie Marriage Storyfollowed by Star Wars‘ third prequel trilogy movie, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Brown ended the list with Family and explained that she makes everyone watch that movie because she loves it so much.
Brown also explained that Revenge of the Sith made the list in part because her husband, Jake Bongioviloves Star Warsand Brown enjoys seeing Bongiovi excitedly watching her as she watches the movie.
These days, Revenge of the Sith tends to rank highly among Star Wars movies and TV showsbut it wasn’t all that long ago that the prequel trilogy movies, released in the late 1990s and early 2000s, were very controversial. Even today, debates continue within the Star Wars fanbase regarding the quality of the prequels.
However, it makes sense that Brown, born in 2004, and Bongiovi, born in 2002, would have more favorable views on Revenge of the Sithas nostalgia for that movie and leading actors Hayden Christensenand Ewan McGregor has grown exponentially in the last 20 years.
Schnapp also shared his top four movies, as did fellow Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Boweralthough Bower was asked for his top four in a separate interview. Schnapp named The Devil Wears Prada, Ratatouille, Black Swan and All of Us Strangers.
At the mention of RatatouilleSchnapp and Brown also discussed Schnapp’s now-famous video from when he was younger, in which he realized his rental of Ratatouille had expired and said, “Does this mean I literally just bought Ratatouille for nothing?” Several years later, the audio from this video continues to make the rounds on social media.
Bower, who had written a list in preparation, chose A Dark Song, The Great Escape, The Exorcist and I’m Not There.
