EUGENE — A second Oregon cornerback intends to transfer after the season.

Dakoda Fieldsa top 100 recruit in the class of 2024, has left the program, Dan Lanning confirmed following Wednesday’s practice.

“He didn’t come to work today,” Lanning said. “We haven’t talked to Dakoda. I guess that’s the way it goes nowadays.”

On3 first reported Fields’ intent to transfer and by Wednesday afternoon he removed references to Oregon from his social media profiles. He had one tackle while playing in the first three games this season but has not appeared since and did not travel to Rutgers.

Fields did not play last season due in part to injury and could seek a medical hardship waiver to have three years of eligibility remaining.
