California voters are projected to approve Gov. Gavin Newsom's push to redraw state congressional maps, according to the Decision Desk de CNN, strengthening the national Democratic Party's efforts to win control of the US House of Representatives next year.
The measure will allow Democrats to replace congressional lines drawn by the state's independent commission with new ones that make five House seats more favorable to the governor's party.
