MANHATTAN — Kansas State football has been playing better as of lateand it will have a chance to prove itself against Texas Tech.
The Wildcats and No. 13 Red Raiders will play on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
K-State (4-4, 3-2 Big 12) has won three of its last four and has won the last eight contests between it and TTU. The Red Raiders haven’t won in Manhattan since 2008. The Wildcats are coming off a 42-17 beatdown of rival Kansasextending their Sunflower Showdown winning streak to 17 games.
Outside of its 26-22 loss to Arizona State on Oct. 18, Texas Tech (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) has been a juggernaut this season behind perhaps the best defense in college football. The Red Raiders bounced back last week with a 42-0 throttling of Oklahoma State in Lubbock.

Texas Tech 31, Kansas State 24: Texas Tech’s elite defense should keep the K-State ground game in check, which tends to cause problems for the entire Wildcats offense when it’s not going. At the same time, the Wildcats have been within a score in all of their games this season, they’ve been opportunistic defensively and Avery Johnson has played well in recent weeks. K-State has enough to make this interesting.
